Great video, and, by far, the best transformation walkthrough I've seen. Slow enough that you could do it real-time along with you. Very appreciated. You also speak clearly. That's not common. Again, very appreciated. You got yourself a new subscriber. 🙂 Anyway, I was resigned to waiting for the reissue of the SS86 Grimlock in October of 2025, but then I found out about this guy. This figure in my books knocks the socks off of the SS86. Don't get me wrong, the SS86 Grimlock is amazing, but this is just on another level. I can't wait for mine to show up.

Just found out these two exist and needed to see a closer look at them. Holy s- they look fantastic! I love the G2 looking color scheme and I must track them down!

The MP8X to regular SS86-6 Grimlock's MP8. 😏😏😏 Too bad you don't have the older & tinier PotP Dinobots to compare to the SS86 Dinobots just for the lols. That would've been an absolute riot to see. And I think that the problem with the official release colors is that apparently, blue wasn't the only one...there was also a turquoise one and a G2 Autobot symbol labeled *original colors* one, too...which is kinda dumb. Sucks that the swords for Slag & Sludge are trapped behind the paywall that is the Marvel G1 Comic Edition Grimmy...

To me, this feels more like a Marvel comics Galvatron that they slapped the toy stickers onto, which is funny because in his early appearances, Galvatron actually had the gray forearms like the original toy, which I wished they had gone with for this figure.

Impressed that you were bold enough to trick it out with the Toyhax set. On the one hand, I want to...on the other hand, ehhhhhh...maybe?? Probably gonna have to get another Long Haul, the hips on mine seem to be starting to fail in combined mode (Devy's got a bit of a lean that wasn't there before, and the hips DO seem ever so slightly loose). Vehicle mode Hook is actually my second favorite of this set, the top dogg being Scrapper. Those struts on Hook's vehicle mode are exactly why. Meanwhile, the Combiner forearms on Scavenger and Bonecrusher make for cool little jetwing packs in robot mode...but they also make them a bit back heavy. But robot mode, though? Scrapper all day erryday!! Though Scavenger - or maybe Pimpinger - is a close second. "Which he can barely hold" Ohhh, they ALL suck at holding their guns. And I refuse to believe that Devastator can hold Hook's crane arm like a big metal bat...he sucks at holding his gun, too, how he gon' hold a plank that don't even tab into his hand!? The instructions have you slingin' Scavenger's shovel arm off to the side like he a wannabe pimp anyway...it's like he got a hairstyle similar to Peter & Egon in The Real Ghostbusters. Funny thing is that everybody's heads are all boxy like they're a bunch of Soundwave wannabes. Sizewise, you could say it's like six ol' skool Leaders that make more of a "Titan" than them quarter-assed "Voyagers" of Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors Devastator. They're like CW/UW/TR/PotP/LG Leader class peeps: they have the size and maybe the scale to hang with MP, but they don't have the aesthetics of MP. (My PotP Optimus WAS my MP-Adjacent Optimus until I got the MP44 KO, my TR Soundwave would've filled in for Year of the Goat Soundwave but he started to junk out on me just as fast and ain't got many Tape Minions anyway, etc.) Oh: my Jinbao set also included the upgrade kit - the first one that's an OSKO of the Generation Toy upgrade kit which ironically Jinbao previously swore they were never gonna do...wonder what made'em backtrack and do it. So there's bigass IDW style drills, thigh extensions that only add an inch of height, some new parts that go into Long Haul's crotch assembly (it was preinstalled with mine, the original parts nowhere to be found), and a decent G1 style head that can't transform (so it's not for vehicle or indimavidual robot mode display). Redemption arc?? Nah, this here's the culmination, the end result. Check it: • First was the OSKO of MMC's Feral Rex and later Nero Rex (again: Nero is cool, but a black and PURPLE Predaking is deadass WRONG!!); it's around the time the Nero OSKO came out that they also did the upgrade kit...but they never fixed the woefully disproportionate robot heads. Now, in 2022 or 2023, they did a reissue box set that omits Catilla and has like 80% of the upgrade kit stuff preinstalled, only inexplicably and inexcusably missing the new robot mode hands with wrist swivels. Plastic quality ain't great, and it's heavily simplified compared to the MMC...though not like an undersized KO that recently came out was. Me personally, I like it more than Hasbruh's quarter-assed PotP Predaking...that thing should've never been greenlit in that state and that design. • Next was the OSKO of Generation Toy/Warbotron Bruticus. This was the redemption arc, the entire journey. Vastly superior to Predaking, but the plastic quality of Blastoff and especially Vortex was still pretty iffy at best. Otherwise, oh, they nailed it. Granted, there were still a couple of things that were simplified...but it was absosmurfinlutely a much better effort. • Then came Gravity Builder. I know these are supposed to be somewhat of a fit with Masterpiece, but hawt diggity DAYUM, the combined mode looks badass with probably errythang!! MP? Looks badass. MPM? Looks even more badass. Mainline? Oh, chef's kiss, this hits ALL the spots in ways that the Cool Become Brave undersized KO of CW Devastator could only DREAM OF, and that actually does look good with the likes of the ol' skool War for/Fall of Cybertron Deluxe class peeps, but...nah, Jinbao's Builder.D does a better job at it (because Voyagers and Leaders exist). Similarly, their Into the Sky - renamed Beast King in the reissue set - works just as perfectly with mainline; I have a pic that I posted in one of the TFW forums (and I think I posted it in your Discord at least once) that has Beast King in the back with Kingdom Galvatron, Kingdom Cyclonus, SS86-10 Sweep as Targetmaster Scourge, Siege 35th Anniversary Soundblaster, and TR Scourge as Sweep in front of him (though I think I also have an older variant of that pic with RtS Cyclonus instead of Kingdom). If that ain't a straight up gangsta Season 3/The★Headmasters lineup...idkwtf is. Yeah, I need Jinbao to do a OSKO of Unique Toys Ordin (Abominus) set...

12:55 wow, finally someone that use their brain to solve the problem, you cant imagine how frustrating is to watch people talking about this issue and breaking the red mecha and gluing it back together to proceed to do the same mistake. This is the modification i did to mine, and im so happy i did, my red zord is not broken, but now i dont have to worry about breaking it.

It looks really good; but the flaw is it's too small compare to other Titan, and the hands/fingers are not articulated. If DNA Design upgrade can fix these issues, I will definitely buy it. Good video by the way..

QC issue that only affects your copy?? Nope, I will be watching out for all that when I get him. It's like back when the MP44 KOs started to finally trickle out to folks who had preordered the very first version. There were a litany of issues discussed over on TFW...not to mention stuff to be wary of over time...and I mean more stuff than the real MP44. But even all the caution in the universe couldn't avoid the over time issues (ex.: them hips are GOING to fail and stop ratcheting to some degree. It's a matter of WHEN). Head won't turn...yeeeaaahhh, I have heard a couple folks over on TFW mention it...and I find it worrisome. It's Netflix WFC-T Siege Hound all over again...or at least it's gettin' close (haven't heard of anyone snappin' off Bee's head yet) You corrected yourself at the robot mode size comparison, but you totally goofed on it during the vehicle mode comparison, sooo...Burnout's a she. 😂😂🤣🤣 To quote one of the shirts my daughter had as a baby: "Though she be but little, she is FIERCE". (How do I remember that? Helps that I took pics, but the bigger thing is that I'M the one who picked it out!) But WOW, you got Burnout tricked all the way out with the Toyhax... And Bumblebee is supposed to be a small boi. On the other hand, they done gave up on scale for certain peeps. The Sunbow chart shows that the top of Bee's head is supposed to STOP at the top of Optimus's knee. Earthrise Optimus & Cliffjumper couldn't do it (Bumblebee is too tall), even MP44 & MP45 couldn't do it (Bee comes up past Prime's knee). I think we're never have a correct Bee again because repaints & remolds. (Sunbow chart also has all the other Minibots taller than Bee, even Cliff...)🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Gotta milk the mold potential for all it's worth...even if they're bound to completely miss some obscure peeps. (Ex.: A G1 toy style retool to have a faceplated & visored head would easily give way to both a G2 gold repaint AND the more obscure G1 blue repaint Glyph, the best girl. The squared top is good for the obvious Cliffjumper, Hubcap, & Bumper retools, along with Tapout. The base model is begging for the obligamatory Bugbite again.)

Quick question, should I lubricate the shield or the peg hole in the left arm so that the shield doesn’t get stuck ? I can lubricate it with oil or Vaseline

So it seems that their upgrade kits are gettin' more and more craptastic with some difficult installs, while the prices are gettin' higher and higher...just wow.

Was the head for jazz glued together when you disassembled it, because I'm going to customize one myself but I don't want to ruin the toy

I can't enjoy it, the back is just 😢. I hope DNA designs gives us a proper fix but removing the back pin will probably break it. I feel really let down by the designers, they only saw the repaints, bumper, cliffjumper, etc

My figure has the same problem. The head is stuck. Could boiling water work? I haven't tried that

Great review again brother! I agree on all points of the squid, but to have an A stance is a mistake w/o having ankle tilt. It is always better to have straight stance in a toy figure. It allows for more realistic movement in running poses, or swimming, or flying. Just saying. The overall look of the squid is the Asian style of cartoon cephalopods... Look at Mario squids, and other Asian depicted squids and octopus... as an aside, Cuttlefish have "w" shaped pupils, Octopus have barbell like pupils...so compromise?

yes i want a reissue 93 megazords i want the reissues to be 100% compatible with ogs....the newer reissues are aful most of them different design or upto 50% the size, or goofy neck joins on the feet zords etc .
